How it works

A wake window is the time your baby is awake between sleeps. It grows as babies get older, and it’s usually shortest in the morning and longest before bedtime. The calculator uses typical wake windows and nap lengths for each age to plan the day, then adjusts whenever you log an actual nap. If a nap is short, the next wake window is shortened a little too.

Under 4 months, babies don’t follow schedules, so the times are a rough rhythm only. More about the method.
